Feeling Stitchy, the blog for the Embroidery Flickr group, showcased some nifty cross. I was particularly interested in the herringbone patterned buttons, and following up on that link led to Pin Pals's flickr group, particularly their cross stitch section. They make loveley stitched pendants, buttons, etc. I love seeing little useful bits of stitching.
Aside: Many apologies for being so behind lately. Been having some flare ups of health issues. If you want more excuses, they'll be in my personal blog (link on the side). :)

From last week's Patterns Online update, comes this nautical collection of signal flags and sailboats. The designer is Bennie Harman, who has a pretty wide selection up on PO, including some very funn "samplers," such as the "Three Wise Women..." and also more serious designs such as some still fruit still life designs and country style samplers.

There's a community blog titled Freebie Gallery for posting well, finished Freebies. Heather just posted a cushion using a free design from Whispered by the Wind. It looks great on the red she used, but I'd love to see it on a navy blue, too.

Heh. Craftylilly finally finished a 3 year old WIP, a
birth announcementfor her second child. She's got two close up photos, and the buny is just adorable (the bluebird looks a wee bit angry to me. *g*).

Harry Potter fan? The News & Observer has a whole article of Harry Potter-related links, including some craft ones. In particular, it turns out that The Leaky Cauldron, a Harry Potter fansite, has some needlework projects, including a collection of house crests meant for plastic canvas work but could easily be adapted to another fabric.
