Religion & Stitching
Christian Women Online has a "daily dose of inspriation" talking about cross stitch as a way to understand God & faith. It's a really interesting view.
Vonna from The Twisted Stitcher posted a whole bunch of stitching gifts she received from various folks. She's got a needlebook, a chicken ornament, several charts, floss, some quilting type fabrics, and a stitcher's wallet. She's got some great friends! And, she's got a pciture of her own "Summer Quaker" pin cushion.
The Boothbay Register has an article about the closing of Willow's End, a needlework shop in Boothbay Harbor, ME. They are having a huge sale, down to the fixtures, so if you're looking for anything, it'd be worth seeing what's left.
Sharon at Cross Stitch Obession shows off her first needle book. She used cherry Waterlilies thread to stitch Tribe #1 from Periphaeria Designs, and a red paisley fabric for the backing.
Dani at TKDChick has pictures of the round robin she just started, which has a theme of flowers & quilts. Also, she finished her Hedgehog Quaker into a nifty cushion; I love the blue fabric she used, but the shape itself is really interesting.
Lelia of Stitches of Life has a picture of the Cross stitch over one thread portion of her Mystery Sampler from Needle Arts Magazine. This is lesson 14 of an ongoing sampler that she's planning to finish as a bell pull.
The Yarn Tree, an online cross stitch store, has come up with a video to teach counted cross stitch. It's available on their site and at YouTube. Here's the video:
It turns out there's a bunch of other cross stitch videos on youtube, including a bunch from Leisure Arts, instructions on making a french knot, and a bunch of people stitching.
