Start of a RR

Dani at TKDChick has pictures of the round robin she just started, which has a theme of flowers & quilts. Also, she finished her Hedgehog Quaker into a nifty cushion; I love the blue fabric she used, but the shape itself is really interesting.

Beginner's video

The Yarn Tree, an online cross stitch store, has come up with a video to teach counted cross stitch. It's available on their site and at YouTube. Here's the video:

It turns out there's a bunch of other cross stitch videos on youtube, including a bunch from Leisure Arts, instructions on making a french knot, and a bunch of people stitching.

Mobilet

Modamuse highlights some design objects from mobilet. The item that caught my attention is a picnic blanket showing Syndey's coastline that comes with needle and thread to use to cross stitch your favorite picnic spots onto it.

2007 Twin Cities Show Results

The show results for the 2007 Twin Cities Show, Townsville (?), Australia, are presented for the Arts & Crafts category. There are winners in Hand Embroidery & Needlework, (Champion: Lorraine Fuller) and Cross Stitch & Tapestry (Champion: Wendy Lawn), among many other categories. There's a gallery of photos, but they mostly include folks on rides and with arcade prizes, not any of the craft projects.
